Guardian of Hope

This piece was done for my preliminary senior ex. I wanted to something related to mythical creatures being represented as guardians over childhood ( This was sometime before Rise of the Guardians came out XD) But unfortunately it didn't work out as much because my senior Ex advisor wanted me to go a little bit deeper with my exhibition pieces. I still kept all the pieces from this series though. 

Anything horse related I love to draw so making this was a lot of fun! I got to play with a lot of different shades of yellow and gold. I also love drawing wings too so this was just too many things I love wrapped up in one. I know for the background I wanted to make it almost similar to a sunrise, kind of representing the idea that hope comes in every new day
